My name is Douglas, and I got a subscription to Hermenaut in mid-October. Your postcard to me (dated October 23, 1999) indicated that my subscription would start with issue 16 and end with issue 19.
Since then, I've received nothing (no magazines, no communication whatsoever), and earlier e-mails about this matter haven't been answered.
I would very much appreciate a reply about this in the next several days.

I sent a subscription for 4 volumes ($20) in Sept. So far I have only received one issue (No. 15—Summer 99).
Question: Have no more been issued or have I been lost in space?

My name is John K. and I received confirmation of my subscription in October, 1999. I was told that the first issue I would receive would be #16. Has issue #16 been created and sent out yet? Just wanted to make sure you hadn't forgotten me.
Also I would like back-issues of #'s 14 and 15 please.
Please respond as soon as possible and let me know what is happening.
Thank you.

Hello:
I am writing in response to a postcard I received regarding the late status of my subscription (16-19).
It is now a year and four months after the fact. I'm not sure what I've paid for.
If you have no intention of sending this publication it would be admirable of you to refund my money.

To Whom It May Concern:
I subscribed to the Hermenaut in December and I still have not received any magazines. I emailed you a few months ago and was told that my first issue would come in June, but I still have not received it.
I paid $20 for a subscription and got a postcard confirming that this payment was received, so I would appreciate it if you'd let me know why I haven't been receiving your magazine.
Thank you.

Have you all sent out the new subscription yet?
If so please don't forget about me, for I have in fact placed an order. If not, when shall I be expecting it?

I sent in a subscription to Hermenaut in October 1999, and I have yet to receive any print issues of the magazine, though I receive regular e-mail postings from you. I have two questions:
1. Can you let me know a specific date when I might begin to see print copies of the journal? If you have now converted entirely to publication on-line, I'd appreciate knowing this, since in that case I'd like a refund of my subscription.
2. I'd appreciate being taken off your e-mail subscription list.

We have not received our Fake Authenticity Issue. We received your address confirmation card but no issue. My wife has had to up her Zoloft as a result. Please send our issue as soon as possible.

What do you mean #15 is all gone! We fuckin' subscribed to it! That means we already paid you for it. You could at least pony up a photocopy if you're too disorganized to fulfill subscriptions. Or is it a sign of left-wing authenticity that you don't honor financial contracts?
with annoyed regards,

Thanks. We did receive a postcard, but thought it was for #15 (it was quite a while ago). Any suggestions on who in the Bay Area might carry #15? Or could we pay you for a photocopy of 15? Any help you could offer on finding #15 would be appreciated. Being off-center capitalists, it's not the money, it's the frustrated desire for the content!

So...where is it? Huh, guys. You've been talking about this thing for a year now. Delays—postponements—more delays.
I have in fact received address verification postcards from you all, so I know you still have me in your files...right?
Anyway, am eagerly anticipating the latest revelations. Please hurry.
Thank you with warmest regards,
John K. / Oakland, Calif.

Hi,
Last spring I subscribed to Hermenaut, sent in a check for $20 which was cashed and received a confirmation card. Since I have still not received an issue I would like my money back.
Please send me a check for $20 at the Washington address and e-mail me to let me know its on the way. Thanks.

It has been eleven months since I nearly ruined my liver in France, returned to the US, began collecting unemployment, and sent you a check and a request to become a Hermenaut. It seemed like the time.
I received a cool postcard confirming my Hermenaut status, and months later, another postcard saying something like "look out for Sweden!"
But in the past eleven months, I have received no Hermenaut.
Can you please advise?

Sirs,
I am looking at a cancelled check # 799 written to Hermenaut for $20.00 and dated 5/25/00. I have yet to receive an issue of your magazine.

So, I'm wondering if my subscription has expired.
I subscribed around last November or so and have been anxiously awaiting delivery of the "Stockholm Syndrome" issue—I received the handy postcard notifying of it's due date earlier this year, but still my mailbox is empty 'cept for pizza flyers.

Thanks for the update, but what I really want to know is if you guys will send me a magazine since it has been 6 months since you cashed my check.
I subscribed to Hermenaut on 5/25/00.
Check was processed 6/6/00.
Have never received magazine.
What is up?
Please figure it out and write me back.

I have not received issue #16 even though a) I believe I have a subscription for 4 (four) issues and have, in addition, donated $ to the general upkeep of the editorial staff.
Please explain.

Hello:
I have a subscription with Hermenaut, and have requested that you please send the current issue.
It is called "Stockholm Syndrome" and I have not yet received it.
I know it has been printed, and am wondering what is causing the delay?
Katrina / Dallas, Tex.

Is any one ever going to respond to my previous subscription query?

It is now January of 2001, in case you folks hadn't noticed. I still don't see this alleged new issue in my mailbox. Do you people actually run a print magazine, or do you just take peoples' money for subscriptions for the fun of it?
What I would like to know, is whether you people are planning on actually ever sending out this so called new issue? And if you have in fact postponed it's mailing—for the 10th time—are you going to actually attempt to hold to this deadline... or will you just be blowing more smoke?
I'll tell you what, whenever this farcical deadline comes around again, either send my issue or my twenty dollars that I sent you people over a year ago.
My name is John K. [address withheld]
But of course you all should know that, shouldn't you?
Please don't turn me into the loudest, squeakiest wheel you've ever heard.
Thanks very little.
John K. / Oakland, Calif.
